Since 1992 I have been providing computer-consulting services to both individuals and businesses in the areas of networking, user support, training, configuration, computer hardware repair, upgrades, web site design and programming. I provide complete IT project management, system development life cycle support and training for many clients in Windows and Macintosh environments. I have over 16 years of experience consulting profit and non-profit based organizations in integrating Information Technology strategies into current business processes.
I work with a wide range of clients in custom networking, database and web strategies providing end-user support (hardware and software) in Windows & Mac based systems.
Diverse clientele includes the following areas: recording studios and artists, retail point of sale, real estate, churches and non-profit organizations, accounting, recruiting, boat sales, physicians, colleges, art galleries and arts organizations. I have over 19 years of experience working with arts organizations, musicians and artists including the Okaloosa-Walton Community College Arts Center music theory lab and theater department.
Past projects include: providing the most cost-effective solution fiber-optic network solution for a client, which saved the client over $15,000 in unnecessary phone system and WAN upgrades. Design and programming of front end user interfaces for databases accessed through Borland Database Engine and ODBC data sources; primarily Access & SQL 7 using ADO in Borland Delphi 5.0 visual application development environment for, inventory control, EDI, paper manufacturing environments and bar coding applications.
I've worked in the area of web design and development since 1996 which includes managing web content and electronic sales & delivery of original music, recordings, sheet music, visual art and graphics, original music instructional books and software products.
Other past projects have included a state contract to conduct training for all newly hired district staff of Florida State House of Representatives in a newly installed computer hardware and software configuration. Responsibilities included writing the state contract proposal, all phases of project management, the organization and teaching of all classes, the creation of supplemental course materials and evaluations to assess the success of the program. The courses were four-day classes customized around the job tasks of HOR staff including: Windows NT/WFW environment, Word Perfect 6.1, Delrina Form Flow, Lotus Organizer, Lotus CC:Mail, and HOR mainframe programs for bill-tracking and constituent tracking.
Contract positions have also included work for NORTEL while working with Global Knowledge Network through Gromelski & Associates
in the areas of Curriculum Development and Project Analysis as a Senior Instructor in support of a pilot training program in a desktop migration that involved 40,000 users from the Macintosh to the Windows 95/ Office 95 environment. This six-week project involved developing needs assessments and evaluations for pilot program participants and custom designing and developing curricula (quick-reference guides, jobs aids) geared specifically to the transition between platforms. Conducted evaluations of Computer Based Training Products and the design of their distribution to the pilot program participants. The analyses and evaluations resulted in a Windows 95 presentation of a customized familiarization training strategy model to pilot program participants that included the Senior Executives and Managers of the Nortel Richardson, TX facility.
Additional responsibilities for CARMA Productions also include all sales, marketing, accounting and financial management for CARMA Productions.
